Home to one of the world’s largest collections of art and design, the V&A is up there with London’s most prestigious museums. Found on Exhibition Road, the 19th-century building is just as impressive as its contents. Having been closed for decades, the Europe 1600-1800 galleries opened recently and are available for private views. Just through the museum entrance is the Dome, with its soaring ceiling, which is a memorable space for a reception or gala dinner. Also available are a series of striking galleries which can host both dinners and receptions. Theatre-style meetings are best held in the Lydia and Manfred Gorvy Lecture Theatre.
