In tranquil Dean’s Yard, next to Westminster Abbey, Grade II-listed Church House Westminster was a stand-in base for the House of Lords during WWII. Today, it offers 19 spaces for events, blending original character – oak panelling, raw stone and feature windows – with hi-spec AV. All told, it has the advanced technology that drives modern conferences as well as the sense of occasion demanded by awards ceremonies and dinners. In 2016, the venue spent £350k upgrading the facilities in its Assembly Hall, including the addition of a 4K projection system. Sustainability is high on the agenda too – all water, for example, is bottled on site.
