Currently the only restaurant on the world-famous Savile Row, Sartoria is the perfect place for an elegant Christmas celebration in Mayfair. This all-day Italian eatery boasts a heated terrace, bar, cicchetti counter, two private dining rooms, a wine cellar and stunning interiors, all of which sets the scene for an unforgettable evening of festivities.
The Wine Room is the most intimate space, well-suited to smaller, private Christmas dinners of up to six. Here, diners are surrounded by carefully-selected Italian wines, while a window into the restaurant allows for plenty of light and atmosphere. The other two rooms can host 25 seated guests each or 35 for standing receptions. When combined, however, they allow for up to 50 seated guests and up to 70 standing.
Start off the festivities with a bottle of Franciacorta Cuvee or Taittinger, or sample one of the classic aperitivi. After that, there are three-course, four-course and sharing menus to choose from. A three-course here might consist of spicy tuna carpaccio with pickled Tropea onion and almond, black truffle risotto and a bergamot cream with wild berries to finish. The four-course meanwhile, is a little more refined, consisting of a seasonal crudo to start, ‘nduja and burrata tortelli with Modena balsamic, beef tagliata with wild mushrooms and crispy potatoes, with a panettone tiramisu to finish.
The sharing menu, meanwhile, is a real showstopper. Enjoy a range of starters to share, including vitello tonnato, beef battuta, grilled octopus, burrata with radicchio and orange, and Mazzara prawn tartare with avocado. The pasta course is similarly lavish (marsala and truffle broth tortellini), as is the main event (roasted turbot with wild mushrooms and black truffle). After a palate cleanser of mandarin sorbet, you and your guests can then finish with a gianduja cake. The four-course and sharing menus come with Christmas crackers, and all menus come with suggested wines.
