Described as the ‘English Versailles’, the magnificent Boughton House is as stately as they come. Having started life as Tudor Manor back in 1528, the venue in Northamptonshire is now part private
home and part event space, famed for its French furniture, Mortlake tapestries, manicured gardens and imposing French façade. A trio of function rooms includes the standout Great Hall, where guests
will find a 17th-century fresco and portraits of Oliver Cromwell and Queen Elizabeth I. The space holds up to 100 for a reception or 80 for banquets. Private dining also takes place in the Tapestry
Room, which – as the name suggests – is lined with ancient textiles, while for smaller occasions there is the 40-capacity Stewards Room. Teambuilding is a strong suit, taking advantage of the
beautiful gardens and waterways that run through the grounds, and only an hour from London.
