There is little doubt that Ascot is the most famous racecourse in the world, but the home of Royal Ascot Festival also doubles as a state-of-the-art conference, event and entertainment venue. The grand surrounds are best suited to large-scale events, although more intimate gatherings can also be catered for.

If you have not had the pleasure of visiting Ascot before, it is worth knowing that despite its pastoral feel, this gargantuan venue is readily accessible. Ascot is close by to major road networks, just 30 minutes from Heathrow airport and less than an hour from London when travelling by train, although the venue also offers complimentary onsite parking for over 6,000 cars.

Once you’ve walked through the historic gates which give the place an immediate sense of occasion, you can take your pick from more than 300 meeting rooms and 4,000 square metres of exhibition space, as well as a whole host of private dining suites, stylish restaurants, attractive open spaces, terraces and lawns. The versatility of Ascot is its strong suit, and the vast range of event spaces available means it can easily accommodate anything from summer parties to special occasion banquets, corporate away days to large-scale conferences, and much more.

All internal spaces at Ascot benefit from natural daylight and several offer breath-taking views over the famous racecourse itself, the Plaza Lawns, the Berkshire countryside or Crown Estate, whilst the external event spaces include expansive terraces and lawns. If you are visiting Ascot as part of a corporate training session, you can make use of handy seminar and break-out rooms, with both standard and bespoke delegate packages available.

Historics Auction: Flexibility In Challenging CircumstancesSEPTEMBER, 2020

Having hosted the Historics Auction in the iconic Ascot Grandstand since 2017, the event in 2020 was adapted in response to COVID-19 to become an outdoor event. The extensive grounds provided the elegant backdrop to a fine and varied consignment of 190 classics spanning nine decades and including classic examples from 47 different brands. With extensive lawns and hardstanding areas the racecourse was the ideal venue for ensuring the event was compliant with current COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions. Collaborative working between the Historics team and the Events At Ascot team ultimately led to a highly successful event that saw attendance from over 1,800 individuals across a busy and profitable four days. 149 of a total of 186 consignments were sold, with total sales of £4.6 million achieved.
