Perched above the redeveloped Union Terrace Gardens in central Aberdeen, Wild Goose is a stylish two-storey restaurant and cocktail bar offering bold flavours, local ingredients, and one of the city’s most scenic dining experiences. The venue is part of a £28 million regeneration project and occupies a striking pavilion that includes a restored Victorian building turned private event space.
Wild Goose is built around a simple but refined concept: great food, generous hospitality, no pretence. The upstairs restaurant serves seasonal small plates and elevated brunch dishes, with a menu that includes local delicacies like bread and buttery Benedict, venison, oak-smoked chorizo, and Aberdeen Angus beef. The venue sources much of its produce locally, including wood from Maryculter and handcrafted furniture from Deeside.
Downstairs, the bar offers a playful contrast with Asian street food from the popular ‘How Bao Now’ concept, alongside creative cocktails, mocktails, and specialty coffees. The drinks menu features brunch cocktails, iced matcha, and seasonal spritzes, with options for non-alcoholic versions on request.
The venue is open Thursday to Sunday, making it ideal for everything from casual coffees to late-night celebrations. Seating includes window booths with garden views, high tables, and cosy corners, all designed to encourage guests to linger and enjoy.
With its blend of relaxed luxury, locally inspired menus, and unique event spaces, Wild Goose has quickly become a standout in Aberdeen’s hospitality scene. Whether you're stopping by for brunch, cocktails, or a private gathering, it offers a fresh and memorable experience in the heart of the city.
