This is a pleasant local restaurant where all 28 of my friends decided to come and celebrate my birthday.
£150 deposit was made for 30 people to secure our booking a week before. The booking link was ineffective - there is no online booking system- just a linked copy of the menu. This made it difficult for them to really track and monitor effectively who was having what. We sent full menu info via email and no acknowledgement. We booked our table for 8:45pm and was placed to sit at 9:15pm with no real apology. They took another order and ask us again - this took another 25 minutes, starters came 15 minutes after that. The main food was good.
Paying the bill was very confusing. The man at the till didn't take off deposit of final bill. There was no head count - 28 people came, 1 had to leave in an emergency therefore 27 people stayed behind. Some people paid by card and the majority paid by cash. The young man was not very good with totalling up the bill and became annoyed because our calculations were different to his. It turned out that they were overcharging us - if there ship was tight this would have been a pleasant night.
Communication and Improve online booking service - its ineffective for a large party. Get a lead person with good customer service skills to track and monitor exactly who has purchased what, it helps to maintain clarity at the end of the night.
Reduce your large booking orders to 25, and improve your communication service from start to end - mostly importantly don't argue with the clients it looks distasteful.
We were overcharge by paying for an extra person who didn't eat.
