Turtle Bay Staines

Turtle Bay Staines sits in the centre of Staines-upon-Thames near the river, bringing with it a heavy dose of the Caribbean. The restaurant is positioned near to the shops, making it a perfect spot to come to when you need to regain some energy... and provide it will, even making it a great spot to come to with friends or family for a night out of food and drinks. The interior of the restaurant is filled with wacky multi-coloured furniture and wall art as well as mirrors covering the walls, all surrounding an open-faced bar and kitchen, the place filled with energetic vibes.

The all-day menu allows you to choose Caribbean infused options like the honey bunny yardbird for breakfast - a roti stack replaces waffles as the accompaniment to fried chicken - as well as more classic options like smashed avocado and poached eggs. The main menu gives the option to eat clean with Buddha bowls, as well as simply with burgers and roti wraps. The rest of the menu is equally tempting with jerk pit dishes such as jerk salmon or sirloin, soul food choices like curry goat hash and West Indian curries. All of this can be paired with some seriously tempting sides, such as cheesy jerk fries. A range of small plates can act as starters if you’re especially hungry or are ideal to go with some drinks.

The drinks list has everything on it that you might need: wines, beers and soft drinks but focuses mainly on cocktails and a long list of rums which can be paired with appropriate mixers or enjoyed neat. The cocktails are perhaps best enjoyed during the daily happy hours which grant two for one cocktails or even during the daily bottomless brunch which sees you munching a selected dish from the menu and drinking a choice of bottomless cocktails, mocktails, beer and Prosecco.
