Following the early fanfare of its Tottenham Court Road opening, Tigermilk has arrived in East London’s Spitalfields with its most ambitious restaurant to date. This 280-seat flagship impressively marks the group’s 13th opening since 2019, building on a reputation that has already seen it serve thousands of guests daily across Europe. Founded by Nina and Alexis Melikov, Tigermilk has carved out a distinct identity: a Latin American-inspired brasserie that is bold, high-energy and, crucially, designed to be enjoyed with pals.
The Spitalfields site offers diners 230 seats indoors and a further 50 on the terrace which is fabulous in summer, when the restaurant unfolds more like a sprawling hacienda than a single dining room. Guests enter through a courtyard before moving through a series of interconnected spaces, each with its own feel and vibe. There’s a main dining area, a vast orangery seating more than 80 guests, and above it all, a striking six-metre-high bar that overlooks the courtyard, backed by an impressive display of over 2,000 bottles.
The design leans into theatricality. Inspired by the grand estates of Cuernavaca, the interiors are layered, maximalist and intentionally over the top - a setting that feels lively enough for long, sociable meals. The food follows suit. The menu centres on bold Latin American flavours, with dishes built for sharing and designed to arrive in quick succession. Expect cochinita pibil tacos, vibrant ceviches and larger plates that cater to groups, alongside desserts that continue the sense of indulgence, with maracuyá tiramisu and dulce de leche cheesecake among them.
Drinks are just as much a focus. The bar offers more than 250 tequilas and mezcals, alongside a cocktail list built around fresh, punchy combinations. Think classic margaritas alongside house signatures that suit the vibe.
