The Thai - Wandsworth

This cosy little Thai restaurant is perfect for a Sunday evening when a roast just wont hit the spot. Based in adorable Wandworth Town with a fire place and pillows at the back, you couldnt want for a more inviting and homely setting. The food has all the Thai classics such as prawn tempura, chicken satay and sesame prawn toast and they do not disappoint with cooking them to perfection. My favourite starter has to be the dim sum though with its delictable soy dressing. The Som Num Salad is so fresh and zingy I felt like I had arrived back on Koh Pha Ngan and the Thai curry's are as fragrant as they get. If I had to point out room for improvement it would have to be the stir-frys, unfortunately the beef was as tough as old boots and chicken and ginger lacked oomph but they did make up for it with a steamed seabass that was not only delicious but had absolutely no bones in which is a rarity. The prices were a little higher than I would expect from a neighbourhood Thai but if you go for the set menu you get a great deal. Overall I will continue to return to this restaurant and encourage other locals to do so. Korp Khan Ka
