To experience the best of Brighton’s scenery, The Seahorse is a stunning seafront restaurant, with panoramic views of the West Pier. Inspired by the flavours of the ocean, dishes use quality produce from the British coastline.
In the summer months, natural light shines through the restaurant’s wraparound glass exterior, making it the perfect spot for an afternoon spritz and some fresh seafood. The winter season brings a crisp, cosy feel to the space - well-suited to Sunday roasts by the sea. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, or enjoying an afternoon on the south coast, The Seahorse is a beautiful place to watch the world go by.
While your view changes with the seasons, so does the produce on your plate. Head chef Danny and his team have curated a thoughtful menu, which spans rich, hearty plates in the winter, and light, delicate dishes in the summer. To start, ox cheek nuggets are an indulgent snack, while crispy squid with garlic aioli are a taste of the sea.
Mains are made to please both meat and fish lovers, with everything from rump of lamb with heritage squash, to fillet of sea trout with crab croquette and confit fennel. Vegetarians are well-catered for too, with dishes like roasted pumpkin with kale and crispy chickpea salad, and beetroot tart tatin with whipped herb feta. Don’t miss the inventive selection of sides - there’s seaweed hash browns, pomme puree, and roast hispi cabbage. Puds are equally sophisticated, including creme caramel with baked Braeburn apple, and custard and nutmeg tart with boozy raisins. The Seahorse also does a proper Sunday roast, including pork shoulder with crackling, slow roasted lamb shoulder, and dry aged rump of beef.
With gorgeous plates of food, and views to match, The Seahorse is an elevated dining experience on the Brighton seafront.
