Found in the leafy London neighbourhood of St John’s Wood, The New Inn is a restaurant and cocktail bar which serves an internationally inspired menu and hosts weekly live singers to entertain the crowds of diners.
The dining room at The New Inn is relaxed and inviting, featuring distressed wooden floors, striking photography on the walls and studded leather club chairs upholstered in a honey toned hue. In the warmer months, guests can soak up the sun by grabbing a space among the outdoor seating, which is handily covered should the famously unpredictable British weather decide to switch gears.
As for the menu, The New Inn serves an all-day offering of globe-trotting dishes, alongside a dedicated children’s menu and traditional roast beef dinners on Sundays. At breakfast, early risers can tuck into classic morning fare such as pancakes with fresh fruit, eggs royale with salmon or a croissant filled with bacon and cheese.
Later in the day, The New Inn’s menu expands to include a number of tempting options. Begin your meal with a prawn cocktail or focaccia topped with spicy goats cheese and spinach, before moving on to main courses such as a homemade beef burger topped with bacon and cheese and served alongside chunky chips, or a chicken escallop, accompanied by new potatoes and a creamy mushroom sauce. Vegetarian and vegan diners aren’t an afterthought either, with plant-based options on the menu including cauliflower steak or a halloumi burger with chunky chips.
To round off your meal, tuck into a range of sweet treats such as chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, Sicilian lemon sorbet served alongside a shot of Limoncello or a retro ice cream float made with either cream soda or Coca-Cola.
As for drinks, expect Champagnes, an international selection of wines and fun house made cocktails.
