Your one stop shop for tasty food bits to take home, a delicious brunch, steaming cup of coffee and series of events, The Milk Shed is located in Weston on the Green, less than five minutes from Junction 9 on the M40. The Milk Shed first opened back in 2013, with a focus on fresh, high quality and seasonal food, prepared by a talented and friendly team. Then, just a few years ago, Rob and Maggie moved to Oxford, falling in love with the site and taking it over in 2020.
This cosy little spot, is perfect for those looking to while away a couple of hours over freshly made food, with mismatched furnishings, an abundance of fairy lights and shelves stocked with produce that line the dining room.
The all day menu begins with Milk Shed buttery soft scrambled eggs on sourdough toast with your choice of roast tomatoes, streaky bacon, spicy chorizo or smoked salmon and herbs. There's also a classic sourdough bacon sandwich – which you can never go wrong with, and hot buttered toast with jam, lemon curd, marmalade or honey. For something a bit heartier, try the coconut and chia porridge with stone fruit compote, and warm yourself up on a chilly day.
Healthy foodies will love the Milwaukee rye with avocado, halloumi, roast tomatoes, a creamy basil mayo and leaf salad, topped with plenty of nuts and seeds. But, if you've got a big appetite, you'll want to order the ribollita shed style Tuscan bean stew with semi dried tomatoes, kale, parmesan and sourdough croutons. It’s worth noting that the menu changes with the seasons, and there is a daily specials menu, so we can’t be too sure what you’ll find.
