The menus change with the seasons but it's pretty safe to say that you'll always find pub classics on offer. Enjoy small plates or starters of pork and black pudding sausage rolls with apple and plum ketchup, a creamy baked British camembert with honey drizzle and red onion marmalade, and oak smoked salmon with pink grapefruit, orange and watercress salad. Classics like a cheese burger, beer battered fish and chips and lamb mixed grill are all on the main menu, and are joined by some house favourites. Try the black truffle rigatoni with mascarpone cheese and white wine sauce, roasted butternut squash and quinoa salad with teriyaki and ginger dressing, or pan-fried sea bass with crushed new potatoes and mangetout.
All the restaurant's steaks are sourced from the British Isles, except ribeyes, which are sourced from Argentina. You can level up your steak with a side of ultimate mac and cheese, made with chorizo, truffle oil, creme fraiche, red Leicester and mozzarella. Light bites are served from Monday to Friday between lunch hours of midday and 4pm, with options of smoked haddock, leek and cheddar fishcakes with poached free range eggs and creamed leeks, a 5oz rump steak, avocado Caesar salad with sourdough croutons, and fried buttermilk chicken and seasoned skinny fries.
