Questionable value for money
The atmosphere in the restaurant is really good. We have been several times now as there is not a lot of choice for nice restaurants where we live . The Wine was nice quality (quite expensive though) however we find the food over priced for what you get. I had an 8oz sirloin steak which looked small , whilst tasty it was just warm and not hot, and had more fat on than I would have liked, it has to be cut off and wasted. At £28. for a steak, 4 small new potatoes and a small tub of peas it not good value . My pudding Mince Wellington was filling and tasty, but the base was really tough and needed an effort to cut through it. My wife had lamb and she was happy and it represented reasonably value. But her pudding a ginger and pear pudding was pathetic, it was a little piece of pudding and a little piece of pear and two squrts of cream worth about £4.00 max, not £7.50.
At £91.00 for two wines, two mains and two puddings. Not an activity I can do too often.
