About

Perched on the dramatic, picturesque St Davids peninsula, Blas is the crown jewel of Pembrokeshire’s famous art hotel, Twr y Felin. This signature restaurant pays homage to outstanding produce from the surrounding Welsh countryside, treating traditional flavours and dishes with a touch of modern elegance, and bridging the gap between modern design and rugged Welsh charm.

The name ‘Blas’ translates as ‘taste’ or ‘flavour’ in Welsh, and that ethos runs throughout the menu. The kitchen takes a seasonal, ingredient-led approach, championing produce sourced from Pembrokeshire and across Wales wherever possible. The restaurant offers a compact a la carte for lunch or dinner, diving into a selection of snacks, starters, mains and desserts, all designed to celebrate the absolute best Welsh produce. Dishes on the dinner menu at the time of writing include cured mackerel with golden raisin puree, pickled cucumber and horseradish, mussel veloute with poached mussels, buttered leeks and soda bread, and slow-cooked pork collar with brown butter cauliflower, brassica leaf and sauce Robert. That said, the menu shifts regularly with the local harvests, and there are also grilled fish and meat dishes available too.

The dining room itself doubles as a culture fix. Generously spaced tables sit surrounded by striking original artworks - part of Twr y Felin’s celebrated art hotel concept - creating a calm, intimate backdrop that works just as well for special occasions as it does for relaxed evenings out.

Blas also serves up an indulgent afternoon tea in the exact same stylish surroundings, offering a slightly more casual way to soak up the vibe. Open to both hotel guests and coast-exploring day-trippers, it’s a brilliant pitstop whether you’re dropping by for a leisurely lunch, an afternoon treat, or a lighter celebration.
