Located on, you guessed it, Broughton Street, The Broughton is a well loved local pub, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This cosy gastropub offers a fantastic menu, along with a delicious selection of beers, fine wines and creative cocktails. The doors first opened back in 2019, and the team works hard to keep up a feeling of being everybody’s favourite local. Whether you’re in the mood for a bite to eat, or just want to kick back with a refreshing pint, you’re welcome at The Broughton.
Starters are big enough to share at The Broughton and include options of St Andrews cheddar croquettes, flatbread with wild garlic pesto and ricotta, and East of Scotland crab crumpets. Other dishes include the Isle of Wight tomato salad with whipped feta, beef tartare with brioche and Cobble Lane fennel salami and pickles. Your main dishes include a North Sea battered coley with tartare sauce and Koffmann chips, salt baked celeriac with maitake mushrooms, and roast venison haunch with braised red cabbage.
If you visit on a Sunday, you can enjoy one of The Broughton's award winning roasts including herb roasted chicken with hispi cabbage and yellow carrots, and roast dry aged rump of beef with Yorkshire puddings and duck fat roast potatoes.
With a fine menu such as this, you'll want to save room for dessert. Choices include a Perthshire strawberry panna cotta, Madagascan vanilla ice cream with lemon madeleines, and dark chocolate delice with salted milk sorbet.
The Broughton also hosts lost of events and special nights, such as special date nights, cocktail months and more. It's also an excellent place to bring the family, with special children's menus packed with easy-going food that even the fussiest of kids will love.
