Located in Liverpool’s trendy and historic Baltic Triangle, The Baltic Social offers a mashup of everything, from punk afternoon tea to Jazz Roast Sundays (think Yorkshire puddings meets live jazz). The Baltic Triangle is known in Liverpool as a hub for indie businesses. During the day the area is a great place to go shopping for vintage fashion and in the evening buzzes with clubs and bars. Whether you’re finishing your day with a chat and some cake or starting your night with a burger and fries, The Baltic Social has something for everyone.
The restaurant offers both a bottomless and standard brunch menu. The bottomless brunch menu includes unlimited Prosecco, pilsner, mimosas or gin and tonics as well as unlimited toast or hash browns. Each bottomless brunch also comes with two mains from the normal brunch menu. Brunch at The Baltic Social is - unlike the afternoon tea - a pretty traditional affair. Customers can go savoury, with a veggie, vegan or traditional full English, breakfast sandwiches and eggs benedict, or try the sweet options like doughnuts and French toast.
As with bottomless brunch, The Baltic Social’s afternoon tea has separate menus for vegetarian and vegan customers. However, if you fancy a delicate afternoon tea with cucumber sandwiches and tiny scones, this is not the place to visit. The restaurant’s gargantuan ‘Punk Afternoon Tea’ consists of nostalgic British and American treats, like corn dogs, burgers, chicken pie and a jammy dodger cake. Although called an ‘afternoon tea’, as standard each order comes with a cocktail or mocktail served in the teapot rather than a British brew. Advanced booking is required for the ‘Punk Afternoon Tea’ for all group sizes.
The main menu at The Baltic Social is mostly oriented around American favourites, like chilli, nachos and loaded fries. The ‘burger’ menu is also extensive, and includes everything from buttermilk fried chicken burgers to vegan sloppy Joes.
