Tacito

Tacito is a cool, little spot coming up on the Berkshire food scene offering a design-conscious cafe, considered coffee offering and all-day snacks, with the promise of a taco menu coming soon. 

One thing Tacito has nailed straight away is its aesthetic. It's got that intimate, neighbourhood vibe going on with a compact space and artsy details. Walls are hued a rich, burnt orange which really helps it stand out, while textures are rooted in the natural world with rustic wooden seating and original floors. The till is a particular centrepiece, carefully covered in artisan-style tiles and creating a nice focal point to one of the most important areas - where you'll find the coffee and the wine!

From early morning (8am, to be exact) you can come down to Tacito and get your caffiene kicks, take up a seat and start your day off right. If you get peckish, there's a creative array of pastries, cakes and sandwiches to keep you going, but as mentioned, the owners hope to get their brunch and taco menus off the ground soon. This will give both newbies and regulars an even better reason to come back with promises to offer taste-driven plates, Latin-inspired flavours and hearty brunch dishes worth getting your friends together for. 

Open until 10pm, it's also a lovely place to gather for a glass of wine. Come evening and Tacito glows with atmospheric lighting and huddles of friends, making it a buzzy but relaxing spot for an after-work or weekend drink. Another nice thing about Tacito is that it has a little shop - so, if you ever fancy a snack for on the go, or juice to take home, you can grab it here. The owners are passionate about stocking indepedent, artisan brands so you'll find fancy food stuffs here like Squish cold pressed juices and Lacy's family farm milk.
