Decent service but disappointing value for money
We visited Steak and Lobster Warren Street recently and overall had a mixed experience. The restaurant is located inside a hotel, which made it slightly confusing to find, and the space itself feels like the same room used for breakfast service. Because of that, it lacks personality and atmosphere, which was a bit of a shame.
On the positive side, the staff were genuinely lovely – very friendly and attentive throughout, and the starters were actually quite good.
For our mains we both ordered the surf and turf. It was not bad, but it also was not particularly good. The ribeye was a bit chewy, the chips were underwhelming, and overall the dish felt overpriced for the quality. It was fine, but not something we would rave about or rush back for. It felt like one of those central London spots that rely on being busy with tourists rather than delivering a memorable meal.
In the end, it was an okay experience with great service, but the food and value for money were disappointing.
