Six by Nico Leeds is a vibrant restaurant offering a creative and affordable take on tasting menus. Founded by chef Nico Simeone, who grew up in a large Italian-Scottish family where food was a way of telling stories, the concept is all about reimagining flavours in inventive ways. Every six weeks, the restaurant unveils a brand-new six-course tasting menu inspired by a theme, destination or idea. Evening menus are very affordable, and there's also a four-course lunch experience.
To give you an idea of the type of experience you will have at Six by Nico, currently diners can experience the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, a whimsical and theatrical menu that includes roast chicken-fat doughnuts, goat’s cheese parfait with beetroot and grilled red pepper and crisp pig head with apple and mustard mousseline. Desserts take a playful turn with burnt toast ice cream, summer strawberries and a jammy dodger biscuit.
On Sundays, the restaurant offers the Mad Hatter’s Roast, a creative take on traditional roasts with dishes such as ox ragout with beef and potatoes, pork belly with golden raisins and cauliflower and toad in the hole made with smoky bacon sausage and maple mustard foam.
The restaurant’s decor is modern and stylish, with parquet flooring, dark wood panelling, pendant lighting and a long open bar lined with bar stools. The atmosphere is buzzy yet intimate, perfect for date nights, birthdays, family dinners or corporate events. With step-free access, friendly service and ever-evolving menus, it’s a fun and accessible spot to enjoy imaginative modern European cooking at great value.
