Seventy Five is the restaurant at Liberty, established to celebrate the exciting 150th anniversary of the iconic British department store. The restaurant is named after the store’s founding date and has the demanding task of capturing Liberty’s long history of luxury, along with their still-evolving creative future.
The restaurant serves a brunch menu in the mornings, and an all-day menu from noon onwards. Seventy Five’s head chef, Joe Holness, has curated a menu with a focus on homegrown produce (including their own herbs and honey), with menu items focus around the comforting nostalgia of English dishes, albeit with creative twists. On the menu at the time of writing you'll find the likes of almond croquettes slathered with goat cheese, pork chops topped with a herby salsa verde, torched mackerel with pickled carrots, and highest-quality Swaledale chicken with thyme and salsify.
Seventy Five also serves a fun afternoon tea, inspired by arts and crafts. Head pastry chef Lizzie Ross’ creations perfectly go along with the aesthetic direction of the restaurant, which is decorated with colourful 19th century artwork, timeless Chinoiserie motifs, illustrious paintings of Persian gardens, and murals covered by artwork from master illustrators such as Quentin Blake, who’s most notably known for his drawings of Roald Dahl’s stories for children. Alive with Liberty’s well-known creativity and innovation, the restaurant also serves cocktails inspired by the department’s store’s collection of fragrances and refers to their famous Fragrance Lounge and their installation of The Noseum, an exhibit that houses 360 unique 3-D printed noses.
Seventy Five is ideal for anyone looking for a luxurious brunch, lunch or afternoon tea whilst shopping in the iconic store, or in the surrounding area. Guests will also get to enjoy luxurious and imaginative foods and drinks that find pride in their attention to homegrown produce and ethical sourcing.
