Santosa Café is tucked inside a wellness centre in Edinburgh, on Albert Street. If you’re in the mood for some relaxing, holistic therapy or a chilled out afternoon, paired with a delicious cup of coffee and a bite to eat, Santosa Café is the place to go. The cafe has been loved by its customers since opening in 2016, and is highly regarded as a fantastic spot for wholesome and nurturing veggie-vegan soul food. There are plenty of places to sit and chill out in the cafe, whether you're looking to kick back and relax or need to do a spot of remote working.
All dishes at Santosa Café are freshly prepared to order and are cooked in-house, using Shahana's traditional Punjabi way of cooking. Each week, Rainbow Soup Dragon cooks up delicious soups in house, which are the perfect, warming bowl of goodness. Bread is sourced from award-winning bakery, Bakery Adante, and the cafe's free range organic eggs come from Weigh To Go. If you're drinking coffee, that's supplied by Williams and Johnson, and almost everything you enjoy here can be traced back to its source.
Dishes from the Santosa Café menu include plates of sourdough toast with smashed banana and toasted seeds, homemade soups, organic poached eggs with chickpea flour roti, and Punjabi potato vegetable kebabs that come with house made chutney dips and a side salad. You’ll also find plates of hummus and a selection of wraps including grilled halloumi with roasted peppers, fresh-made falafel with hummus and carrots, and a special wrap with traditional Punjabi spinach and potato filling. The menu also offers a selection of traditional main dishes like tarka daal, traditional thali, and plates of momo dumplings filled with veggies. For wholesome vegan and vegetarian dining, it doesn’t get more homemade than this.
