Add some sparkle this Christmas with Mionetto Prosecco

There are few things quite as festive as a glass of bubbly, whether it’s with colleagues after work (or during because, you know, it’s Christmas), with friends at a festive gathering, or with loved ones on the day itself. Apparently one in three Brits will pop a bottle to toast the season and if you ask us, there’s no better way to do that than with Mionetto, one of the UK’s best-selling Proseccos.

Mionetto Prosecco is a multi-award-winning Italian sparkling wine founded by master winemaker Francesco Mionetto in 1887. Since then, the brand has become a shining example of Prosecco production on the international scene, with its range now available in 70 countries worldwide.

Synonymous with a crisp, versatile and deliciously fresh taste, Mionetto Prosecco is the perfect choice for stylish soirées all year round, though especially during fizz season (also known as Christmas). Perhaps you’re in charge of the office Christmas party, or else planning a fizz-filled gathering at home over the Christmas period; either way, if you’re out to impress, you ought to check out Mionetto’s range of premium Proseccos.

Sparkling cocktails are always a hit at Christmas parties, so why not add a touch of creative flair by serving a sparkling Prosecco-based tipple to go with the canapés? The refreshing Mionetto Limoncello Spritz goes wonderfully with traditional Italian antipasti or savoury Mediterranean canapés, and is as easy as mixing 100ml of Mionetto Prosecco with 25ml of Limoncello, 50ml of Thyme-infused soda water and 10ml Supasawa (sour mixer) in a tall glass over ice.

Or perhaps you’re after a bottle to serve at a sit-down meal. In that case, Mionetto’s Orange Label is just the drink to elevate the occasion, as its fragrant fruity notes help aromatic dishes shine. Going for a traditional Christmas dinner? Upgrade to the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry from the Prestige Collection. The crisp, precise flavour profile and balanced acidity cut through the richness of buttery Yorkshire puddings and thick gravy.

Alternatively, raise your tipple game with a glass or two of Mionetto’s Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG from the MO range. This gorgeous bubbly is produced in the small, hilly towns of Conegliano, Asolo and Valdobbiadene – Mionetto’s hometown – which adhere to strict regulations to guarantee its authenticity and quality, much like France’s Champagne region. Golden yellow in colour with greenish glints, this variety possesses a floral nose with intense bouquets of green apple and tropical fruit. Even the bottle is elegant and sophisticated.

From popping the cork to upending the bottle, Mionetto is a pleasure to drink. Its winemakers have crafted their Prosecco with versatility in mind, and its fresh, fruit-driven quality is suited to all manner of different occasions and a variety of foods. But even with its democratic nature, one constant remains: every time a bottle is opened, it brings a sense of celebration – and food-lovers will most certainly agree that every meal is something to celebrate.

How to serve
To get the most from this delicious drink, be sure to serve it well chilled. You want it to be around 6-8 degrees when poured, so pop it in the fridge for three or four hours and serve as soon you pop the cork.
