About

Stylish design meets fresh, vibrant Vietnamese street food at Pho. The long narrow restaurant on Ealing’s main drag is instantly recognisable by its distinctive bold-red neon Pho symbol. Inside, an original graffiti art mural of a Vietnamese street scene dominates one wall, adding to the engaging vibe. We began with a large spring roll packed with flavoursome king prawn, crab and pork; and expertly fried baby squid served with a warming salt, pepper and lime dip. A shredded chicken salad arrived full of fresh, crunchy ingredients. Pho (pronounced ‘fuh’) is the Vietnamese national dish and our version – with king prawns, tofu, flash-fried steak and garlic in a light, aromatic beef broth with rice noodles – had pleasing sweet and sour overtones. Chicken curry with rice was boosted by a rich and creamy coconut-based sauce. Put simply, Pho serves well-executed, authentic food at fair prices with the minimum of fuss.
