Located on the top floor of Gravity Southside, a multi-faceted entertainment venue in the centre of Wandsworth, is dedicated cocktail bar and drinking destination Newton's Bar. Drawing inspiration from trendy New York-style lofts and design-led hotels, Newton’s Bar combines striking wood panelling and parquet flooring with soft furnishings in jewel toned velvets and industrial touches throughout. Filled with a flood of natural light during the day while transitioning to a cosy, moodier vibe in the evening, Newton’s Bar offers guests a grown-up space to head for a post-work drink, early evening cocktails or even to catch your breath after a day of activities at Gravity.
The menu at Newton’s Bar is, naturally, geared towards cocktails and includes a range of much-loved classics as well as contemporary and signature serves. Its range of classics includes plenty of reliable numbers that everyone knows and loves, but why not dare to be different with one of its signature creations? The Michael, for example, is a twist on a white Russian consisting of Kettel One, Kahlua, chocolate bitters, cream and sugar, while The South Sea Company mixes Martin Millers gin with hibiscus syrup, crème de cacao, lemon and mint.
A separate list of contemporary cocktails includes one called the Negroni Flip with gin, Lillet Blanc, Aperol, lemon and foam, while a range of non-alcoholic cocktails ensures everyone is catered for. Discover a booze-less list of fruity and floral mocktails, such as the Arrow combining mango puree, coconut syrup, vanilla syrup, lemon juice and Foamee. There is also an impressive collection of wines, beers and spirits too, if you want to sample a range of drinks throughout the evening.
Gravity Entertainment was founded in 2014 by Simon Whicker, Harvey Jenkinson and Michael Harrison. In seven years, the brand has built over 400,000 square ft of entertainment in venues from London to Edinburgh.
