Acclaimed liquor brand Grand Marnier launches The Grand Experiences this summer – a series of exclusive events across London, inspired by the alchemy of Cognac and bitter oranges at the heart of Grand Marnier, which blend contemporary art and mixology.

The first event, called ‘A Tale of Alchemy’, takes place from 18-19 July and will see British fashion designer Phoebe English collaborate with cocktail expert Cameron Moncaster, a mixologist at The Mandrake Hotel in London’s West End.

To make sure the event will truly be one to remember, English has commissioned the Chivaree Circus Company to put on a captivating show inspired by mixology. The performance will take place in The Mandrake’s Serge bar and the circus will be kitted out in bespoke Phoebe English designs, performing the story of cocktail making through a carefully choreographed, eye-catching routine.

Taking centre stage at the performance will be a specially made cocktail from Moncaster. His cocktail reflects the concept of A Tale of Alchemy by combining unconventional ingredients to transform good to grand. The cocktail perfectly balances the sweetness of Grand Marnier using exotic passion fruit and bitters, as well as beetroot cordial, whilst at the same time highlighting the refined taste of Cognac.

There will be three performances of ‘A Tale of Alchemy’ each night on the 18 and 19 July. Limited tickets are available and are priced at £25 per person, which includes a seat at the performance and two of the Grand cocktails created by The Mandrake Hotel.
