Michelin-starred Angela Hartnett is set to launch a new restaurant in the New Forest’s Lime Wood Hotel early next year.
The celebrated London chef will be collaborating with Luke Holder, currently head chef at the Hotel’s flagship Dining Room, to create an entirely new restaurant within the original space.
Holder will run the kitchen on a day-to-day basis, with Hartnett acting mainly as a consultant – although she will be cooking as a guest chef from time to time. She will bring her informal,
down-to-earth Italian approach to the country-house venue, but both chefs are keen to ensure the menu is driven by produce from local suppliers, plus some foraged ingredients.
London designer Martin Brudnizki will oversee the design of the restaurant, which does not yet have a name. The new offering will open in January 2013.
