Mezzogiorno is a luxurious Italian restaurant from celebrated Italian chef Francesco Mazzei, set inside the five star hotel Corinthia London. Taking over the hotel’s former Northall space, Mezzogiorno is a vibrant homage to Mazzei’s Calabrian roots, blending southern Italian warmth with refined hospitality.
The menu is a love letter to Italy’s sun-drenched south, where bold, rustic flavours meet elegant execution. Expect a culinary journey through regional classics and inventive twists, with dishes like Scottish crab with Tuscan panzanella, Umbrian white truffle tortelli, and the four pastas of Rome - Cacio e Pepe, Gricia, Carbonara, and Amatriciana. British produce plays a starring role too, with 70% of ingredients sourced locally, including Welsh lamb and seafood from Scotland. A dedicated white truffle menu, Italian-led wine list, and tableside aperitivi cocktails round out the experience.
Mazzei, known for acclaimed restaurants like L’Anima and Sartoria, brings his signature generosity and flair to Mezzogiorno. ‘It’s lively, it’s generous - just like the South,’ he says. ‘I want people to feel like they’re part of my family.’
Design studio Afroditi has reimagined the space with a nod to the faded grandeur of Baroque palazzos in Calabria and Puglia. Think soaring ceilings, hand-painted stucco, warm terracotta tones, and green-veined marble, all bathed in natural light by day and candlelight by night. Guests enter through the kitchen, passing bustling counters of chefs at work, setting the tone for a sensory, immersive dining experience.
With Mazzei’s arrival, Corinthia London adds another restaurant to its culinary portfolio, joining the likes of Tom Kerridge’s Bar & Grill and Salvatore Calabrese’s Velvet. Mezzogiorno promises to be a joyful, transportive celebration of southern Italian hospitality in the heart of the capital.
