Geoff and Lucas Leong, the sibling duo behind Chinatown’s renowned Dumplings’ Legend, have launched a fast-casual Chinese restaurant, Love Dumplings’ Legend, on London’s Chancery Lane. Building on their family's culinary legacy established in 2010, the venue introduces a tech-forward, modern dining experience centred on hand-crafted dim sum and Chinese comfort food.
Open Monday to Saturday, Love Dumplings’ Legend offers quick, high-quality meals suited to London's fast-paced business district. The menu features classic dim sum items like Xiao Long Bao, Har Gau, and Siu Mai, alongside innovative additions such as Spicy Duck Dumplings and Seabass with Fennel. Broader offerings include Taiwanese Pork Belly, Mapo Tofu, and Hong Kong-style street food.
A standout feature is the Hong Kong-inspired breakfast menu with modern twists on congee, steamed buns, and milk tea, served with sides like matcha red bean yoghurt and crispy dough fritters.
The drinks menu draws inspiration between speciality cafés and Hong Kong’s Cha Chaan Tengs - casual teahouses that emerged in the 1950s as an accessible blend of East and West. As such, expect to find a unique blend of specialty café drinks with East Asian flavours - highlighting Hojicha, Black Sesame Lattes, and artisan coffees.
Designed by award-winning architecture studio Design Haus Liberty, the interior features soft lighting, rattan-lined ceilings, and a visible dumpling-making station. Self-service kiosks and digital ordering ensure a smooth customer journey, whether dining in or taking away. The space also includes a 27-seat dining area and showcases a live dumpling-making station.
The launch of Love Dumplings’ Legend marks the Leongs’ latest move in their ambition to build the UK’s leading Chinese quick-service restaurant brand, merging culinary heritage with convenience and sustainable packaging.
