Since launching as a pop-up in November 2025, the team has established Little Julie’s as a permanent café concept, occupying a prominent corner site opposite the main restaurant. This all-day café and wine bar in Holland Park offers a more relaxed counterpoint to its sister restaurant, Julie’s. With its traditional façade and dark frontage, it has the feel of a classic neighbourhood spot, nicely tuned to the local streetscape.
Led by owner Tara MacBain with culinary direction from chef patron Owen Kenworthy (formerly of The Pelican and Brawn), Little Julie’s takes cues from its older sister, offering an effortless take on relaxed dining with plenty of bohemian charm. During the day, Little Julie's operates promises easy-going cafe fare, complete with comforting breakfast dishes such as eggs with focaccia soldiers, alongside coffee available to enjoy in-house or take away. Lunch introduces vibrant seasonal salads and a rotating sandwich of the day, creating an accessible option for local workers, casual lunches or quick neighbourhood stop-ins.
As the afternoon turns to evening, the atmosphere shifts. Lighting softens, and the space becomes more intimate, with Little Julie's evolving into a wine-led destination centred on small plates and relaxed aperitif drinking. The globally inspired wine list spans a wide range of regions, with an extensive choice by the glass designed to encourage exploration. Light bites accompany drinks rather than dominate the experience, reinforcing its informal identity.
Inside, tiled walls, booth seating and small lamps create warmth, while floral touches and greenery soften the space. The design carries forward the effortless French bohemian spirit associated with Julie’s long and illustrious history, but in a more compact, easy-going format suited to everything from morning coffee to post-work drinks.
