This neighbourhood Japanese joint is sure to keep the Chelsea set happy, with sleek décor and striking contemporary artwork setting the scene for beautifully presented small plates and artisan cocktails – but be prepared to pay for it. Noise levels confirm the popularity of this hangout among a young, chic crowd, which is no surprise given the luxe menu: nibble on chilli garlic edamame to start, then tuck into yellowtail ramen noodle soup before sharing some popcorn shrimp. Larger dishes include old favourites like chicken teriyaki and black cod miso yaki, while big spenders will no doubt be tempted by the kobe beef tataki (at £78.50 a pop). Sushi lovers will not be disappointed by an extensive selection of nigiri, sashimi and hand-cut rolls, nor the delectable range of desserts, which include tofu cheesecake with raspberry, ginger and yuzu sorbet.
