Karen's Diner is an interactive diner experience where guests are encouraged to unleash their inner Karen - that is, to complain at length about everything and anything they can possibly think of. At Karen's you'll be greeted and waited upon by rude waiters, who will goad you into giving them an earful and perhaps even demanding to see a manager. To quote the website, this is 'a place where you can complain until the cows come home, because we literally don't care.'
The result is ludicrous fun if you're ready to get into the spirit of things. The staff may be bad mannered and unruly, but Karen's Diner promises genuinely good diner fare from burgers and wings to sweet treats. Beef burgers all come with Wagyu beef patties as standard - there's a cheese burger, a bacon and cheese burger and a spicy number, then you get into chicken burger territory. Karen's offers a hefty helping of 'bolt ons' too, which include extra patties, cheese, bacon, onion rings and hash browns, as well as a quite incredibly array of sauces.
If you're not feeling a burger, you can dive into wings, loaded fries or head straight for the considerable dessert menu, which includes Karen's seasonal waffle bowl, Karen's marvellous churro surprise and trademark 'thickshakes' with flavours like Oreo, strawberry and salted caramel.
On the drinks front, Karen's Diner again manages to provide something for everyone from cocktails and shooters to beers on tap, floats, soft drinks and wines. Oh, and if your name is actually Karen and you can prove it with ID, your unfriendly Karen's Diner server will grudgingly give you a free drink. If they don't, feel free to complain.
