About

Aside from being a one-stop-shop for all your needs, legendary department store Harvey Nichols has put together a serious food offering that features some of London's best restaurant talent. As you walk the halls of this famous building, you'll find the likes of Burger & Lobster, Zelman Meats, Madhu's Brasserie and Aldo Zilli's Lucarelli Restaurant all ensconced within its walls. Head up to the fifth floor and you'll find the aptly-named Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Cafe, complete with a beautiful verdant terrace for al fresco dining and drinking in the middle of Knightsbridge.

The theme on the terrace changes often - currently, CÎROC Passion has taken over the space and equipped it with comfortable rattan armchairs, climbing plants, and a short-but-sweet menu of vodka cocktails to sip on as you while away the afternoon gazing over Knightsbridge rooftops.

There's plenty of food choice too, thanks to the Fifth Floor Cafe inside. The menu shifts seamlessly from viennoiserie and brunch favourites in the morning, to an all-day menu of quick bites, starters and comforting main dishes. If you're just in the market for a snack, try the tempura prawns, chorizo sausage roll with chipotle mayonnaise, or a meze platter with toasted bread. More substantial dishes include a confit duck leg with haricot bean cassoulet, roast sea bass with samphire, clams and Romesco sauce, and a classic beef burger with Cheddar, mushroom and onion.

As you might expect on a Knightsbridge rooftop, the Fifth Floor Terrace is also exceptionally popular for weekend brunches, and the Terrace offers a special brunch menu. Joining the small bites are brunch favourites like a deluxe smashed avocado on toast, French toast, savoury croissants and your choice of eggs (Benedict, Florentine, Royale) on brioche. A special brunch cocktail menu includes a Bloody Mary as well as a peach bellini, grand mimosa and more.
