Galleria is a wood-fired restaurant and bar located within Project House, just on the edge of Leeds city centre. It’s a vibrant, independent venue that blends bold cooking, relaxed hospitality, and creative energy - all under one roof.
The interiors reflect the building’s industrial past as a tile showroom, with exposed brick, steel beams, and mid-century furnishings. Statement artworks and warm lighting create a welcoming atmosphere that’s part café, part restaurant, part bar. Galleria also integrates seamlessly with Project House’s cultural programming, offering pre-gig snacks and drinks, DJ nights, and a flexible space for events.
Head chef Andy Castle, formerly of Ox Club, leads the kitchen with a produce-driven menu that celebrates seasonal ingredients and solid-fuel cooking. From breakfast through to dinner, the offering is diverse and inventive. Morning dishes include huevos rancheros, duck leg and kale hash, and the now-legendary stuffed hash browns. At lunch, folded flatbreads take centre stage, filled with combinations like lamb merguez sausage with chilli ketchup or wild mushroom croque monsieur. The evening menu showcases wood-fired chicken with dips and sides, grilled cauliflower with Kashmiri butter, and flatbreads topped with pulled lamb leg or crispy butter and wild oregano.
Drinks are equally thoughtful, with natural wines, cocktails like salted caramel espresso martini and maple syrup old fashioned, and a selection of local beers. Non-alcoholic options include kombucha and house-made softs. Pop in on Thursdays, for a flatbread, main plate and bottomless drinks. Pair free-flowing cocktails, wines or beers, with monkfish tacos served with mole verde and finger lime, or smoked chicken caesar salad with garlic aioli.
Whether you’re popping in for a pastry and coffee, settling in for brunch, or sharing wood-fired plates over cocktails, Galleria is a fresh and exciting addition to Leeds’ dining scene.
