Set in the Leicestershire town of Earl Shilton, Fourwards is a family-run restaurant led by MasterChef semi-finalist Stacey Ward and her partner, Adam. The team uses local produce wherever possible, cooking up hearty British plates and international favourites, alongside focaccia sandwiches, brunch, and stellar Sunday roasts.
Fourwards is well known for its BBL offering (breakfast, brunch, and lunch), served every day. It includes breakfast classics from full English fry-ups to eggs Benedict and shakshouka, alongside pancakes, waffles, and a whole host of focaccia sandwiches. Heartier appetites and lunchtime visitors will be glad to see a variety of ‘Square Meals’, including homemade pies of the day, tomato rigatoni, sausage and mash, and crispy chicken Caesar.
For dinner, meanwhile, the Fourwards menu starts with starters and shareables, including lobster bao buns dressed with warm herb butter, garden rosemary focaccia, and shredded barbecue pork belly croquettes served with spiced mayonnaise and Grana Padano. Mains offer up crispy fried chicken schnitzel with chorizo and hot honey butter; roast pork rib chops with black pudding, cider-creamed cabbage, and potato dauphinoise; and roast shallot and pea ravioli with white wine and truffle cream.
Looking for Sunday dining? The Fourwards Sunday roast is a local favourite. Kick off with starters like soup of the day, ham hock terrine, or crispy fried brie, then follow with a traditional roast or a Fourwards feast. Roast meat options might include confit pork belly with salted crackling, 28-day aged topside beef, or 18-hour slow-braised lamb shoulder with mint gel. You’ll also find vegetarian options like a hot honey, butternut squash, and goat’s cheese tart. Feasts, meanwhile, include a trio of meats and come with creamy mash and roasties, cauliflower and broccoli cheese, and Adam's signature gravy with a massive Yorkshire pudding.
