Fazenda Leeds stands as the flagship location of the acclaimed Brazilian steakhouse chain, nestled in the historic Granary Wharf area of Leeds city centre. As the original restaurant that launched the brand in 2010, this waterfront location has become a beloved destination for meat enthusiasts seeking an authentic churrasco experience.
The restaurant was founded by co-founders Tomas Maunier and Robert Melman, both of Argentinian descent, who met through a chance encounter at a food and drink festival in Huddersfield nearly a decade ago. Their shared passion for South American cuisine and gaucho traditions formed the foundation of what would become a successful restaurant group with locations across the UK.
The luxurious interiors, designed by the renowned Carroll Design, feature leather furnishings and authentic décor giving guests a taste of the gaucho experience. The restaurant's design authentically captures the essence of Brazilian ranch culture, creating an immersive dining environment that transports guests to the South American pampas.
The menu features 15 expertly grilled Churrasco meats served rodizio-style, complemented by Brazilian sides and Market Table dishes. The food offering is rooted in a century-old gaúcho tradition, where South American cowboys used slow-burning barbecue pits to cook various cuts of meat over long periods. Enjoy classic cuts like picanha, sirloin, fillet and ribeye, served with fries, feijoada, rice and vegetables.
The restaurant operates on the rodizio concept, offering continuous tableside service where passadores (meat carvers) present freshly grilled meats directly to diners' tables. This all-you-can-eat format includes premium cuts ranging from beef tenderloins to speciality Brazilian dishes, all cooked over open flames in the churrasco style.
The location in Granary Wharf, a former rail goods depot re-imagined into one of Leeds' trendiest waterfront enclaves, provides the perfect backdrop for this unique dining experience, combining historic industrial architecture with vibrant Brazilian hospitality.
