Dorothy’s is an all-day caffè, bar and restaurant on Savile Row from the team behind Foreign Exchange News, Sol’s and Fort Road Hotel. Developed by London design and hospitality practice Wendover, the restaurant draws inspiration from the grand café culture of Milan, Vienna, Paris and Rome, creating a sophisticated day-to-night destination where coffee, cocktails and conversation are equally important.
The space is one of Dorothy’s biggest draws. Taking cues from pre-war European cafés and bars, interiors feature stained oak burl panelling, marble floors and counters, a mirrored ceiling, leather banquettes and custom furniture. A striking central counter anchors the room, while the overall aesthetic channels the glamour of continental café society and the heritage of Savile Row.
The food offering shifts throughout the day. Mornings begin with coffee from London roastery 15 Grams alongside pastries, bagels and brioche sandwiches. Lunch might mean gazpacho, club sandwiches or seasonal salads, while evenings are geared towards sharing, with an aperitivo-style menu of small plates and larger dishes designed for the table. Expect the likes of fried olives, chickpea panisse with tapenade, veal tonnato, grilled scallops with Café de Paris butter and lobster served with aioli.
The drinks programme is similarly wide-ranging. Wines span European regions including Tuscany, Sicily, Friuli and the Rhône Valley, alongside sparkling bottles from Spain. Cocktails pay tribute to Savile Row’s history, while house signatures sit alongside a comprehensive list of classics, spritzes, vermouths and digestifs.
Positioned somewhere between neighbourhood café, elegant cocktail bar and relaxed restaurant, Dorothy’s is designed to accommodate everything from a quick morning espresso to a leisurely dinner or late-night drink. With its polished interiors, European-inspired menu and prime Savile Row location, it offers a stylish new addition to one of London’s most iconic streets.
