Yalumba are offering two lucky winners the opportunity to visit Frieze London, and enjoy a bottle of an iconic Barossa red, The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz, in the Yalumba Wine Bar at the fair. A perfect opportunity to discover art and wine at its best.
Yalumba is Australia’s oldest family-owned winery with over 170 years of history and winemaking behind them. Their signature flagship ‘claret’ is an iconic Barossa Cabernet Shiraz blend, first made in 1962. Each year The Signature is dedicated to an individual who has made a significant commitment to the culture and traditions of Yalumba, and this year honours head winemaker Louisa Rose.
Frieze London features over 150 major galleries showcasing art from emerging stars to iconic names from around the world. The Yalumba Wine Bar is the perfect spot to have a break from browsing and enjoy some delicious wine.
Frieze London runs from 13-17 October at Regent’s Park, London. This competition closes at midday on Friday 08 October 2021.
Established in 1849, when Yalumba founder Samuel Smith planted his first vines under the Barossa moonlight, little did he know of the legacy he was creating. Now a fiercely independent fine wine producer, Yalumba is driven by the preservation of provenance, progressive thinking, sustainability and excellence.
Over 170 years, Yalumba’s journey has been all about vision, fortitude, survival, and innovation; about looking onwards and upwards and as each generation join the family fold, a new chapter is added to a story.
The 47th release of The Signature is as meaningful now as it was back in 1966 when Yalumba released the inaugural 1962 and has become entrenched into the culture and lives of everyone who passes through the gates at Yalumba. Each release salutes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the culture and traditions of Yalumba. The Signature 2016 vintage, which is being served at Frieze London, honours Louisa Rose who has been Yalumba’s chief winemaker for over 30 years. The Signature represents Yalumba’s commitment to the great Australian red blend, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz; a commitment that is embedded in Yalumba’s 170-year history.
