About

Bistrot at Wild Honey is a new concept from chef Anthony Demetre, who has opened the doors to this addition alongside his acclaimed Michelin-star restaurant, Wild Honey St James. Housed in the five star Sofitel in St James, Bistrot at Wild Honey takes over the space that was once Wild Honey's bar. The menu at Bistrot at Wild Honey is inspired by French bistro classics, whilst always using the finest seasonal, local British produce. For a deal that can't be missed, head to Bistrot at Wild Honey any day of the week between 5 and 7pm and enjoy a happy hour special, where you can enjoy a glass of the day's house wine paired with your choice of ham or cheese croquettes – cinq à sept.

Snacks on the menu include finocchiona of Tuscan fennel salami, along with whipped cod's roe with grilled flatbread. To share, order the board of artisanal charcuterie or selection of French and British cheese, and there are oysters for those who are partial. Proper starters include English asparagus with crushed poached egg vinaigrette, a fish soup with traditional garnish, and crisp pig's head from Tamworth with mashed potato and sweet and sour onions.

The mains begin with the plat du jour, and then there are the ricotta dumplings with parmesan veloute, classic steak frites and grilled red prawns with szeged Hungarian smoked paprika. On the side, order Pierre Koffmann fries or crushed seasonal potatoes with spiced brown butter. Last but not least, dessert includes chocolate delice, Paris-brest, seasonal fruit tarts and tiramisu. If you like to share your dessert, order the la tropezienne, a traditional St Tropez sweet brioche with creme patissiere, and pair your sweet with dessert wine of Château Le Juge, Les Mingets, Sauternes
