Growing up, you were probably reminded by your parents several times a week that breakfast is the most important meal of the day - particularly when you were trying to convince them that a bowl of Coco Pops is a perfectly nutritious way to prepare for a long day of double maths at school.

As a grown up though, a new mealtime emerges as the hero of your day. Yes, we are talking about brunch and in particular, bottomless brunch - when you can pair your pancakes or full English with endlessly refillable glasses of Prosecco or other boozy delights. For the uninitiated, brunch is traditionally a meal enjoyed at the weekend and eaten between breakfast and lunch, which consists of light dishes that will keep you full throughout the morning. These days though, the definition of brunch has been stretched quite a bit. Several Sheffield restaurants now offer brunch menus all day long, while even more of them have added free-flowing alcoholic beverages to their brunch menus.

In Sheffield, the bottomless brunch scene features a mixture of familiar high street chains and independently owned operations. There is a wide variety of places to choose from, so there really is a little something for everyone, whether you are in the mood for classic avocado on toast washed down with Prosecco, or you fancy some fluffy bao buns paired with unlimited cocktails. Quite a few of these Sheffield hotspots serve bottomless brunch during the week too, meaning you don’t have to limit your fun to a weekend - result!
