Valentine's Day Meal Kit - Indulge by Andy Bowler

Six course meal kit by Andy Bowler

What: Fancy having dinner cooked (mostly) by a Michelin-starred chef? Meal kit concept Indulge was created by Michelin chef Andy Bowler during the pandemic, to deliver relaxed, fine dining fare straight to your front door. Andy has trained with the likes of Michel Roux Jnr, Simon Rogan and Gordon Ramsay over his career, and the quality of his meal kits really speak true to that. We road-tested his six-course Valentine's Day dinner, which is as close to restaurant quality food as you can get. It includes bread and butter, canapes, a starter, main and dessert, plus five salted caramel truffles for petit fours. Every single dish has been prepped to the finest degree, so that all you have to do is pop a few bits in a frying pan and keep warm in the oven. Because there are so many courses, we recommend prepping the bread, canapes and starter all together, before making the main course and dessert. We were particularly impressed by the beef rump main, which is served with an intense Borderlaise sauce, celeriac puree, Jerusalem artichokes, baby leeks and caramelised onions. The starter was a winner, too: potato rosti with confit chicken, wild garlic mayonnasie and smoked egg yolk. You'll feel like a proper pro plating this one up at home.
