Whittlebury Hall serves a selection of seasonal afternoon tea menus all year round, from specially curated offerings in summer and winter, to a children's afternoon tea and a vegan menu. Guests can partake in this beloved tradition within the hotel’s Silverstone Bar, Bentley’s Lounge or in the Courtyard depending on availability. Weekday and weekend bookings run from Wednesday to Sunday, and is the perfect way to catch-up with a friend, or celebrate a special occasion with a loved one.
While the menus are highly seasonal and subject to change, all include a selection of savouries, scones and sweet treats. For example, its summer menu features a sundried tomato pesto and parmesan sausage roll to start, plus other bakes like a garden pea, feta, and parsley crumb quiche. Scones are freshly made on the day, and served with strawberry preserve and clotted cream. While for sweets, you might expect to try a peach and raspberry Melba roulade, or a strawberry and elderflower delice.
Whichever menu you choose, you can also choose to add a glass of Champagne to your booking, whether you're toasting an occasion or simply fancy treating yourself.
If you're looking for a way to keep little ones entertained, there is a children's afternoon tea menu on offer, too. This includes a smaller selection of kid-friendly treats, from cheese and ham sandwiches, to rocky road and jelly pots. Vegan eaters can also find a plant-based menu filled with dairy and meat-free delights, like smashed falafel crumpets and lemon and lime macarons.
Bookings require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice and are capped at small groups. Larger parties can arrange private spaces.
