Afternoon tea is served in the cosy dining room which serves as an elegant backdrop to this sophisticated affair. Diners can expect all the classic elements made with high-quality ingredients and sourced from local producers where possible. Sweet and savoury treats are served on a tiered cake stand. There is a layer dedictaed to homemade vanilla and sultana scones with lashings of clotted cream and sweet strawberry preserve, as well as a selection of freshly made finger sandwiches. Fillings include coronation chicken and rocket, free range egg and cress, and smoked salmon with dill cream cheese. Do note that due to the focus on seasonality, menu items are subject to change. Also included are assorted seasonal sweet treats such as macarons and miniature delicate tarts, the perfect sweet note to end on.
To accompany your afternoon tea, you will receive a pot of coffee or loose-leaf herbal tea, with the option to upgrade to prosecco or Champagne if desired. There is also a dedicated children's afternoon tea so kids can join in the fun.
