About

1802 Lounge & Grill is one of Edinburgh's newest hits. In this beautiful space, you will be able to enjoy the finest produce that has been sourced expertly and locally, before it's grilled to perfection. The bar team is on hand to whip up a selection of tasty handcrafted cocktails, and make sure that you have a perfect pairing to accompany your meal. Whether you're looking for a space to enjoy a romantic meal or want to get together with the whole gang, 1802 Lounge & Grill is a great place to visit. The restaurant is located in the heart of Edinburgh's city centre, and is situated within the beautiful Courtyard by Marriott hotel. The space has wonderfully combined Scottish heritage and gorgeous design to create a space like no other.

The grill menu is composed of British and European dishes that are designed by the restaurant's head chef. For the table, be sure to order a selection of Company Bakery artisan breads that come with Edinburgh cultured buttered. Starters range from the handmade haggis scotch egg with brown sauce, and traditional IK Mellis whipped crowdies with Highland oatcakes and homemade pickles, and Portobello mushroom fries with parmesan and a jalapeno ranch dressing. For your main meal, why not try the deep-fried Welch's Peterhead haddock with Koffman's fries, mushy peas, tartare sauce and lemon wedge. If you want to keep up the Scottish theme, try the local seafood linguine with crab and king prawns, or the locally sourced steaks.

The restaurants are really transparent about who their suppliers are, and they include IJ Mellis, a local cheesemonger, Campbells which supplies hand cut meats and Welch Fishmongers along with Company Bakery.
