SquareMeal Review of Tangawizi

Having taken the area by storm when it opened half a decade ago, this clean-cut, stylishly lit modern Indian restaurant is still winning over new customers – impressed by the variety the menu has to offer, the depth of flavour in the dishes, & the friendly, personal service. Tangawizi is not unique in providing these things, but the consistency with which it has done so is laudable. All the curry-house regulars are here (including a top tarka dhal), but so are the likes of jhinge coco (grilled king prawns marinated in coconut, ginger & garlic) & tanghai lamb (cooked in a coconut sauce & served in a fresh coconut). Booking essential, especially towards the end of the week. Those who can’t get a table settle for a ‘top’ takeaway.

This is a great place for a GOOD indian meal, its not just spicy brown stuff in a bowl. I had the saag chicken, and it was good brilliantly. didn't blow me head off and didn't over power me with spinach. The portions have a good amount of meat and by the end of it we were both left stuffed!! I will most certainly be going again. but be sure to book!!
