SquareMeal Review of
Bistro at 66
There’s an understated elegance to the lovely, light and spacious Bistro 66, but given that this restaurant is on the first floor of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) building, it should surprise no one. The menu reads like a textbook of simple British food – start with mackerel niçoise or a salad of artichoke and beetroot, follow with the likes of glazed sesame salmon with wilted broccoli and soy or chicken cooked in red wine, mushrooms and tarragon, and round off with a slice of citrus cheesecake with a blackberry compote. Used as a canteen for the building, it’s very well priced and prefect for a classy yet relaxed lunch.
