A jewel in London SW18
Visited August 16 2013. Although closed for holidays the patronne opened specially for us as we were disappointed by closure. We were the only clients but felt as though we were being entertained by charming warm hosts in a private home.
Meal was superlative. 3 courses for about £14-50 each. Began with goats' cheese/smoked salmon roulade and grilled sardines. Both absolutely delicious and SO fresh. Main course for all was a supremely tasty duck confit salad with poached egg. Marvellous. Dessert was one fantastic roulade of chocolate mousse with other .delectables. and two pear/blackcurrant sorbets full of fruit. Coffee, three Kirs (one mur, two peche), three large glasses Picpoul. Total bill including service less than £90. Free extras included croutons with tapenade and fresh warm bread.
Altogether a wonderful experience. We shall go nowhere else when in the neighbourhood.
