What started out as a pop-up by the team behind the Rosa’s Thai chain has blossomed into a permanent site, spread over two art-filled floors. The restaurant serves dishes ‘from the heart of Luang Prabang’ in Laos and is inspired by Rosa’s founder Saiphin Moore’s childhood in northern Thailand and her own Laotian heritage. Peppered with intriguing ingredients such as ants eggs, pickled crab and crispy-fried insects, the menu covers salads (papaya, spicy and dry varieties), marinated and grilled meats on skewers with chilli dipping sauce, curries and hot pots. If you’ve been on the lookout across London for this tricky-to-find cuisine, it’s finally hit the mainstream.
