SquareMeal Review of
There’s plenty of back story behind this French steakhouse – it’s apparently the exact replica of the original CB in Geneva, and based on the original Café de Paris, circa 1930. Entrecote isn’t in the title in this UK branch, but it should be – that’s the only main course on the menu, and it’s quality meat aged 28 days, carefully cooked and served silver service style, with the all important Beurre Café de Paris. So secret is the recipe for the butter that the manager allegedly drives over to Geneva to collect supplies rather than make it here. Start with a classic Salade Verte and follow with one of a decent selection of very French puds – mousse au chocolat, ile flottante, tarte tatin or cheese (French, obviously).
